The performance is a result of project concerning the inclusion of 4 young artists in professional contemporary dance context. It focuses on their relationship to their education, contemporary dance, dance institutions, the perception of their future, their inner world, their thoughts, choices and decisions with which they have had to live as well as their own view on what they are offered to consume or deal with in the field of art and media.
Species are co-product, in which choreographer sets the framework
and principles, while performers determinate parameters such as text, rhythm,
breaks, level of presence and absence. Performers are presenting their
relationship to the education system, contemporary dance, institutions, the
perception of their future, their inner world, their thoughts, choices and decisions with which
they have had to live as well as their own view on what they are offered to consume or deal with in
the field of art and media, the lack of prospects, and policies that affect the
freedom of their choice. The performance is partly trying to offer a response to the generationally heterogeneous team where various
references enter (in) directly and where it is not always clear who is
speaking and to whom, where tasks are multidirectional and the answers are mixed. This emphasizes and
abolishes specificity and avoids narrative structure. It examines new species,
which are construct, and therefore elusive.

CHOREOGRAPHY OF IMAGINATION
Concept and choreography Jovana Rakić
Light design Jovana Rakić
Performance Jovana Rakić & Nikolaus Konstantakis
Considering the broadness and
difference in the choreographic space present in contemporary performing arts,
the author assumes that the space of individual imagination can
be comprehended as space of and space for choreography.Choreography is
thought as a practise related to the movement in the space which
is visible; but can it be understood as something that is
happening in the inner space?
The
performance is built on the concept of choreography happening in
the imagination of one. Can one's flow of thoughts
be choreographed and does the function of choreography change
as much as it's structure, once it is not comprehended as something happening
in a certain place and time, staged for us to visually comprehend it?
Maybe the choreography of imagination simplifies
communication with the audience, offering the solution for communicating
through it without the need to move, act and experience.

CONCERTO FOR THREE BODIES
Concerto for three bodies- progress in work is an outcome of a collective authorship, work, process on a subject of communication between music as sound system and dance as system of movements. It flows as it is with (out) everything that happened and that will happen, regardless to references one may have.

TEMPORARIES
authors, performers: Dušan Broćić, Igor Koruga, Jovana Rakić
Kiselčić, Ljiljana Tasić, Marko Milić, Ana Dubljević
“Temporaries is an
artistic project that was originally initiated to question the term and practise
of “local dance community” by six artists who have been working in the
field of contemporary dance and performance gathered around the
activities of Station - Service for Contemporary Dance
(www.dancestation.org) in Belgrade (Serbia).
Our collaboration was initiated
out of a pure need for collaboration. And it become a goal, a theme, a process,
a product to itself. One would expect that after two years of work we have
tutorial on how to collaborate. If we admit here publicly that this is the
first time in our process that we're putting down principles of our
collaboration on paper, we could conclude that this was not such a successful
collaboration. But we could also see success in not looking for definite
solutions, but having patience and fearfulness to stay with an open question.
Stay with an open question. Stay with an open question. Repeat after me. Stay
with an open question...“
ACCUMULATED FIGURES
concept, performance Jovana Rakić
production Center for Contemporary Dance &
Quartier am Haffen, Cologne
mentor Martin Sonderkamp
Accumulated figures is a piece I started working on while studying in MA
program of Dance Dissemination in Hochschule fuer Musik und Tanz in Cologne. It
is an ongoing process that has a base in figures I accumulated in my memory.
While keeping the same spatial composition through which I move, I recall
figures that appear as the motives of my identity. I am entering into different body shapes which
relate to my personal, cultural and social history. Mind is constantly questioning transitions
and postures. Within this
dialogue body is shaping mind as much as mind
is shaping body.
Each performance is a base for the next one, because feedback collected
from the audience is used and implemented in next showing.
